Jumping through hoops is expected with a VA loan, but I wish the communication was a little better so we could have provided necessary documentation sooner. The delay in closing from this was frustrating. Most of my team was excellent but there was one person that hadn’t called at all and did not email as often as I was expecting. We still have yet to have a single phone conversation with her. The rest of the team was diligent and helped us a lot though.
My wife and I would like to convey (we learned that word from our real estate dealings, lol) our deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of the Veteran's United Team!!!Our journey began with Smith Gaddy on May 23rd. This being our first home ever (yes, at our age...), we did not know what to do or expect. We were guided by you all every step of the way. Our concierge (Casie) got us connected and on track for this process. She also hooked us up with our realtor. Tyler (our loan officer) got involved immediately and worked on our preapproval. Every step was detailed and explained in ways we could understand. The patience, understanding, and commitment was/is so amazing. Cara kept us on track for the underwriter and Jimmy kept the ball rolling in the same efficient manner when Cara was not available. Alicia got our Homeowners insurance in line and patiently kept making necessary changes as we needed them.
